SpiritWars™

Summary of Key Game Features:

One of the most frequent questions being asked is about trading.

Yes, you will be able to trade spirits with other players!

Obviously this will only apply to the membership version of the game since the WON version won't track player population (or ownership of spirits) and everyone will be playing with the same population pool in their kingdoms.

Population management, however, will be a integral feature of the member version of SpiritWars™. Each player will start play with a randomly selected opening population of 200 spirits. As players win and lose games, the population of their kingdoms will constantly change.

Aside from playing (and hopefully winning), the other primary means of getting new spirits to use in your dungeon is by trading with other players.

In keeping with our overall philosophy, however, of trying to create and maintain a fair and equitable playing world for all members, we are going to inforce some restrictions on trading. We realize that the vast majority of people are honest and responsible, however as in life, most rules are required to deal with a small minority of people/players who would create difficulties for everyone else.

The reality is that there is a great potential for abuse of any trading system.   Friends can combine spirit populations through unbalanced trades, or give away their most valuable spirits to another friend to create a playing advantage.

We believe that trading is a critical aspect of the SpiritWars design; but it is critical that the implementation of trading be done in a way that minimizes the potential for abuse by that minority of players looking for an unfair advantage.

The first restriction will be on the number of spirits involved in any single trade.   No trade can involve more than six spirits. If a player is trading a very rare and powerful spirit, he can receive up to five spirits from his fellow trader as a part of that transaction.

The second restriction is that only one trade will be allowed between any two players in any given 30 day period. You can trade as frequently as you like, as long as you make sure that your circle of trading partners is diverse.

We feel this will give players ample opportunity to explore the exciting possibilities to expand their kingdoms and fill critical needs in their dungeons by trading with other players. But it does so in a way that removes the temptation to abuse the system.
